Maddison Price – Senior Financial Advisor

With more than 10 years’ financial planning experience, Maddison is passionate about providing holistic financial advice to assist clients achieve their life goals.

As financial planning continues to evolve, Maddison enjoys being at the forefront of advice delivery, particularly in relation to wealth creation and investment structuring, retirement planning, superannuation and risk management advice.

Maddison holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University, majoring in finance and financial planning, has completed the FASEA Financial Planner examination and holds a Self-Managed Super Fund qualification from Integrity Education Group. He also holds a Diploma of Commerce and is qualified as a Tax Financial Adviser via the TASA and the TPB code of professional conduct.

Outside of the office, Maddison is a foster carer and enjoys spoiling a good walk with a round of golf.

Kenneth Thomson – Advisor

Kenneth joined Asena as an Associate in April 2022, moving into an Advisor role in March 2024. Kenneth engages in the strategy and investment advice process through preparation, delivery, assisting with ad-hoc queries and regular engagement with the Asena Investment Committee.

Kenneth first entered the financial advice industry in 2018, and has been focused on the continuous development of his professional skill set across the holistic advice landscape. Kenneth is now recognised as a qualified Tax Financial Advisor, as he continues to pursue his passion for helping others achieve their personal goals, through building a brighter financial future.

In his personal time, Kenneth lives an active lifestyle and enjoys exploring Melbourne, while also travelling regularly to country Victoria to spend time with family. He has recently come out of (early) retirement to play AFL for a local amateur league, and carries a strong determination to witness a St Kilda premiership in his lifetime.

Sophia Leewin – Graduate Adviser

Sophia assists Giles Wade’s clients with tax and accounting and is passionate about furthering her knowledge in this ever-changing environment. Sophia has attained a Bachelor of Business (Professional Accountancy).

In her spare time, Sophia enjoys sitting down with a warm oat latte and exploring a good book.

Bobby Shrestha – Intermediate Accountant

Bobby joined Giles Wade in May 2023 as an Intermediate Accountant. She holds a degree in Bachelor of Accounting.

She brings over 3 years of experience in medium sized firms. Her journey in the field has equipped her with invaluable experience and a deep understanding of financial principles.

Bobby’s commitment to continual growth and learning drives her to stay updated with latest tax laws and strategies enabling the best possible service to clients.

In her spare time, you can often find Bobby hiking through scenic trails and exploring new places . She has a fondness for macha, savouring its rich flavour and the sense of calm it brings.

Melissa Walsh – Practice Manager

Melissa is responsible for practice management, working part time while caring for her young, energetic daughter.

Melissa joined Asena as Practice Manager in December 2022. She is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in Management Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis and Public Practice roles.

Out of the office, Melissa enjoys being with family and friends, hiking, yoga and spending time at the beach.

Cheri Bertrand – Client Services Manager

Cheri is passionate about delivering an enjoyable client experience and building strong and trusted relationships.

Cheri’s experience spans nearly 20 years in the financial services industry, predominately in client services and operations roles within the AMP network and a range of specialist financial planning practices. She has also worked in mortgage and finance broking.

Cheri holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and a Diploma of Financial Services (Finance and Mortgage Broking Management).

In her spare time, Cheri enjoys spending time with her husband, two young sons and horses at their hobby farm in South Gippsland.

Bianca Janakievski – Administration Officer

Bianca joined Giles Wade in November 2022 having spent the previous 19 years working in Education . She is enjoying the change in industry and love to challenge herself with learning new skills.

Outside of work, Bianca is an avid baker who loves to trial new recipes for her coworkers to test and has 3 wonderful children who like to keep her on her toes.

Maria Ciavarella – Office Administrator

Maria joined Asena Family Office (Giles Wade) as an Office Administrator in December 2022. In this role she works closely with the Asena Family Office team and provides administration support to all team members and clients.

Maria has been working in the Accounting/finance industry over 30 years in numerous positions and has a genuine interest in Asena Family Group’s mission and values.

In her spare time, Maria enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and time on the farm where she grew up in the Goulburn Valley Region of Victoria.

Debbie Bartlett CA – Director & Principal, McGregor West

Debbie has 30+ years’ experience in business services and provides clients with tax and accounting advice. 

She provides advice to businesses, trusts and individuals and has expertise in advisory, tax, payroll, SMSFs, corporate affairs and more.

Chris Teh – Business Services Manager & Principal, McGregor West

Chris joined McGregor West in 2000. In his role he provides a range of business services. These include advisory, taxation, payroll, corporate affairs, administration and compliance solutions.

Chris is a Registered Tax Agent and Treasurer of a community sporting club.
